Fire destroys horse stables at Valley Green Inn
A fire that was still smoldering this afternoon destroyed the horse stables next to the Valley Green Inn in Wissahickon Park. The Fire Department responded at at 7:12 a.m. this morning but it was too late for the structure. The cause of the fire is unknown.

A fire that was still smoldering this afternoon destroyed the horse stables next to the Valley Green Inn in Wissahickon Park. The Fire Department responded at at 7:12 a.m. this morning but it was too late for the structure. The cause of the fire is unknown.
Kate Harron, the events coordinator at Valley Green, says there were no injuries and the restaurant remains open for business. She says a wedding party planned for this evening is still on.
