Police are seeking two contractors who allegedly defrauded a Long Beach Township homeowner.

Richard P. Farrant, also known as Rich Robertson, contracted and received a deposit to replace windows at a Long Beach Township home, which was later canceled by the homeowner, according to a release from the Long Beach Township Police Department.

A police investigation ensued after the homeowner contacted authorities, leading to the filing of criminal charges against Richard P. Farrant and Richard C. Farrant, proprietors of Ace Home Services.

Authorities did not specify why the homeowner canceled the contract.

The men are facing charges of theft by deception, fraud, hindering apprehension, failure to display a valid contractor registration number on a contract, failure to provide proper notice of cancellation on a contract, and conspiracy.

Richard P. Farrant is facing an additional charge of impersonation.

Authorities request that anyone with knowledge of the duo’s whereabouts to contact the Long Beach Township Police Department at 609-494-3322.
