Diocese says plans to sell camden parish void for now

Plans to sell the former Holy Rosary parish of Camden are void for now, the Diocese of Camden says.

Despite an option to buy under the current lease with Solid Rock, which works with ex-convict and homeless communities, Diocese Spokesman Peter Feuerherd told WHYY’s Jen Howard the lease is now void since Solid Rock faltered on payments.

Solid Rock thinks public scrutiny of the organization’s work caused the diocese to back out.
