Details may come today on a proposal to bring more jobs to Delaware

A facility could be in the planning stages that holds the potential to create a substantial number of jobs in Delaware.  More details could come out today.

The Preliminary Land Use Service committee is meeting in Dover to review proposals for three sites.  Two of them are in Middletown, and one is in Smyrna.  The Delaware Economic Development Office is looking at the feasibilty of a facility measuring an estimated one-million square feet.  It’s not known yet which companies are interested in the sites or what kind of jobs – or how many – may be created.  The panel examines land use issues and considers possible restrictions.  The meeting takes place at the Haslet Armory, 122 William Penn Street, Dover.
