Camden ties its ‘95 record with 58th homicide

    The death of a man who was beaten on Nov. 2 and succumbed to his injuries this past Friday, has brought the homicide toll in Camden to record numbers.

    Philly.com reports that Gregory Holder, 45, of Cherry Hill was the 58th person killed this year in Camden, New Jersey. This ties the number of homicides with that of 1995, with nearly two months left in the year.

    According to Cityrating.com, the crime rate in Camden was expected to be lower this year than in 2010 when it was higher than the national violent crime rate average by 476.74 percent.
