Body found in N.J. creek ID’d as abducted Pa. woman

A body pulled from a New Jersey creek two weeks ago has been identified as the remains of a southeastern Pennsylvania woman, allegedly kidnapped and murdered by her estranged boyfriend.

WPVI-TV reports Thursday that investigators have confirmed the remains are those of 57-year-old Diane Corado, who disappeared in December 2010.

Fifty-year-old Kenneth Patterson is jailed awaiting trial in Bucks County. He has pleaded not guilty and is awaiting trial on charges including first-degree murder, kidnapping and burglary.

Corado was declared legally dead in April 2011, even though authorities had failed to locate her body.
