Bernard Hopkins prepares for fight against Tavoris Cloud [video]

Boxer Bernard Hopkins was in Philadelphia Tuesday training for next month’s fight against Tavoris Cloud in Brooklyn.

Hopkins was at the Joe Hand Gym in the afternoon for a “media workout” to show off some of the punches he’ll be throwing March 9 when he faces Cloud, the undefeated light heavyweight world champion.

The Philly-bred boxer, know as “The Executioner,” 48, is the oldest fighter in history to win a world championship.

“There’s a lot of 40 year-old women and men that are rooting for Bernard Hopkins,” Hopkins said during the workout. “Because in their office, their young intern is looking over their shoulder saying, ‘I’m gonna get your job.’ They’re rooting for the old grandpa, they’re rooting for me.”
