Armed forced entry attempted in Mt. Airy [video]

Police are looking to locate the suspects wanted for a robbery and home invasion in West Mt. Airy.

On July 14, 2015, at 10:30 p.m., the complainant, a 32-year-old male, was inside of his home on the 500 block of Burnham Road when an unknown black male knocked on the front door. When the complainant checked his surveillance video, he determined he did not know the male who was knocking on his door and opened his front door slightly in an attempt to determine who it was.

When the complainant opened the door, a second unknown black male approached the door armed with a shotgun. The complainant quickly shut the door and two additional offenders could be seen on surveillance cameras joining the two suspects. All four suspects who were armed were attempting to gain entry into the home but were unable to gain entry. After a failed attempted at gaining entry to the complainant’s home, all suspects fled the area in an unknown direction.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident and nothing was taken.
