Accident closes Route 18 northbound lanes in Neptune

Authorities are investigation a crash involving a struck pedestrian on Route 18 in Neptune early this afternoon.
According to 511nj.org, all northbound lanes are closed near Exit 8 at 12:15 p.m., and a detour is in place.
Traffic is exiting onto the Route 33 eastbound exit.
As of shortly after noon, the Route 18 northbound lanes are at a “standstill,” reports JSHN contributor Kathleen Baxter Eldridge.
