AAA Mid-Atlantic: New Jersey gas prices still falling

Motorists continue to see sharply lower prices at the pumps in New Jersey.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the state on Friday was $2.04, down 7 cents from last week. That’s also much lower than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.23.

This marks the 13th straight week that pump prices have fallen in New Jersey.

The national average price on Friday was $2.30, down 6 cents from last week. That’s also much lower than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.64.

Analysts say pump prices will likely continue to drop in New Jersey in the coming weeks, noting that crude oil prices continue to fall.
