2 Philadelphia police officers injured in crash

Two police officers are in stable condition after their unmarked car was struck in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.

Police say a driver ran a red light at the intersection of B and East Westmoreland streets around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The driver fled on foot and was arrested by other officers.

He faces charges of driving under the influence and driving with an expired license. His name has not been released.

One officer has a head injury and the other has a hand injury.
