14th Police District: Where people get jumped while taking out the trash

This list covers Jan. 22 – Jan. 28.

Jan. 22, 2012

900 block Woodlawn St. – Complainant said two men robbed him at gunpoint. One of the offenders struck the complainant in the head with a gun and shot him once in the right foot. Complainant was taken to the hospital. Nothing was taken.

200 block W. Springfield Ave. – Black wallet, red wallet, $320 and credit cards were stolen from a 2000 Chevy.

700 block E. Vernon Road – Complainant said that her boyfriend hit, slapped and kicked after he returned home drunk. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

5100 block Rubicam St. – 2001 Buick stolen, but recovered prior to police report.

6800 block Emlen St. – Complainant said he returned to find his car damaged in several spots. Nothing was reported missing.

5300 block Belfield St. – Complainant said a fellow cab driver knocked his hat off, poked him in the eye and swung a piece of wood at him.

8100 block Devon St. – $300, safe with paperwork, passports, vehicle registration and jewelry were stolen from the property between 4-10 p.m.

Jan. 23, 2012

Unit block W. Westview St. – 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee stolen.

Walnut Lane / Cornelius St. – 2000 BMW 3231 was stolen.

5600 block Blyod St. – 20-inch flat-screen TV stolen from the property.

Unit block E. Logan St. – Two sections of a wrought iron fence were stolen from the property.

8600 block Germantown Ave. – Seven Armani Exchange frames and one Giorgio Armani frame stolen from an eyeglass store at the location.

8400 block William Ave. – Complainant said four offenders — three men and a woman — attacked, kicked and punched him while he was setting his trash out. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

1100 block E. Sydney St. – 2002 Nissan Altima stolen.

1500 block Wadsworth Ave. – Complainant said a man robbed the store at gunpoint. Offender fled on foot with $300.

Jan. 24, 2012

1900 block 69th Ave. – 42-inch Toshiba flat screen TV, 19-inch TV, jewelry and a small Sony radio stolen from the property.

7300 block Ogontz Ave. – Kitchen sink, refrigerator, sink cabinets, light fixtures, bathroom sink, toilet and carpet were stolen from the property.

1800 block Mohican St. – 2003 Nissan Altima stolen.

500 block E. Walnut Lane – 2003 Oldsmobile Alero stolen.

8500 block Germantown Ave. – Ceramic and bronze antiques were stolen from a shop at the location.

Jan. 25, 2012

7500 block Mayland Road – 2001 Lexus ES 350 stolen.

400 block E. Washington Lane – Complainant said a fellow student hit him multiple times after a fight about paper being thrown. Complainant was taken to the hospital where he was treated for a broken jaw.

Unit block W. Haines St. – Police officer said a man released from the district on a disorderly conduct offense swung his right elbow at him after he grabbed him and told him he had to leave. Officer grabbed the offender after he found him yelling and unwilling to leave the area. Offender was arrested.

6000 block McCallum St. – SEPTA tokens and tickets and $300 of foreign currency was stolen from the property.

Germantown Ave. / Sharpnack St. – Complainant said two men robbed him at the location. Offenders hit complainant in the chest and face before fleeing in a car with $6.

Jan. 26, 2012

6600 block N. 21st St. – 1998 Chrysler Concorde was stolen.

1800 block 72nd Ave. – Complainant said a man robbed her at the location. Offender fled with a pair of gold and diamond earrings.

7300 block Walnut Lane – Playstation 3, video game, HP notebook computer and a PSP were stolen from the property.

6600 block Boyer St. – Platinum watch, bracelet and mink jacket were stolen from the property.

1300 block Rittenhouse St. – 2004 Cadillac Deville stolen. Complainant said the car contained military clothing and a radio.

Anderson St. / Phil Ellena St. – Complainant said a man robbed him at the location. Offender pushed complainant after he got off the bus and fled with a cell phone.

Unit block E. Sharpnack St. – Three cars were set on fire. Incident was deemed arson.

6200 block Wayne Ave. – 2002 Dodge Caravan stolen.

6800 block Lincoln Drive – 2002 Dodge Caravan stolen.

5900 block Baynton St. – Complainant said four females punched, kicked and stomped her in the face before fleeing with her cell phone, coat and asthma inhaler. Complainant said she went to the hospital.

600 block Westview Ave. – Diamond earrings and diamond rings were stolen from the property.

300 block W. Hortter St. – 2010 Toyota RAV-4 stolen.

5900 block Baynton St. – Complainant said four female offenders punched her, kicked her and ripped braids out of her hair before fleeing with her cell phone.

Jan. 27, 2012

1800 block Dallas St. – Copper pipes stolen from the property.

400 block E. Vernon Road – 32-inch Samsung LCD TV, 32-inch Toshiba LCD TV, Dell laptop and a Playstation 3 were stolen from the property.

5600 block Chew Ave. – Cold medication, socks, cookies, hair extensions, electric heater, potato chips, personal care products and an infant shirt were stolen from a store at the location.

400 block E. Hortter St. – iPod, cable box, Blu-Ray DVD player and more were stolen from the property.

100 block Chelten Ave. – A man was arrested after robbing a pharmacy at knifepoint. Offender took bottles of morphine and other medication.

7100 block Boyer St. – Complainant said someone stole a package from the front of his house that contained a cell phone.

1100 block E. Mt. Pleasant Ave. – Complainant said someone stole his iPod from his school bag.

8000 block Michener St. – 2002 Saturn L-300 stolen.

Jan. 28, 2012

1500 block E. Pastorius St. – Complainant said that her mother pulled her hair and threatened to stab her while holding a knife to her throat.

1900 block Elston St. – A building was set on fire. Police responded to a call for an arson in progress. Complainant said the offender set the fire because he was upset that she put his father in hospice care. Offender was arrested.

8000 block Stenton Ave. – Complainant said she was raped by a known acquaintance.

7400 block Sommers Road – 32-inch LG TV, DVD player, Gucci bag, two chairs, subwoofer, speakers and two designer watches were stolen from the property.
