Quick Review: Imagine the second Die Hard plot with Bruce Willis (looking a lot like Kurt Russell this time) teaming up with some commandos and getting onto the threatened plane surreptitiously. Then imagine Marla Maples as one of the flight attendants. Stop laughing. She only has about three lines. The main flight attendant is Halle Berry--just as beautiful, but she can also act. Add Steven Seagal as a short-lived commando leader. Stop cheering. John Leguizamo (without the dress from Too Wong Foo) becomes a short version of Seagal--just as beautiful, but he can also act. You get the idea: people sneaking around the bowels of a jet, looking for the right moment to hit the terrorists, with Russell as the terrorist expert forced to take over in the field. Wait a minute. How did we get into Hunt For Red October? Forget it. It's a combo of several thriller formulas, put together with high tech effects, good editing, and a twist or two. It's no Indiana Jones, but then again it's a far cry from Joel Silver's last thriller, Fair Game.

Rating (on a four-star scale): TWO AND A HALF STARS
