Time keeps on slippin’, slippin’ slippin’ …


Amount of daylight is slowly receding. . . Sunset was at 8:33, now it’s 8:22; Sunrise is 5:52, was 5:33. We’ll really feel the change in August, so enjoy it now. Friday Aug.1 is a cross-quarter day – Lammas.
- United Arab Emirates Plans Mission to Marsby 2021. They intend to develop their own launch and operations capability – again demonstrating their prestige as a developed nation.
- Great time to pull out that telescope lurking in the back of the closet and tune it up on the rings of Saturn. Venus now VERY low in the east 30 minutes before sunrise. Moon shows a very thin but growing crescent this week. Look for first quarter moon this weekend.
