Astronomy Night – Not just for the White House anymore
Listen 00:07:17In collaboration with tonight’s White House Star Party, Philadelphia is sponsoring an observing event this evening at Thomas Paine Plaza for everyone who wants to get a great look at the moon, stars, and other objects of the night sky. And if night time is not the right time – the pre-dawn sky affords the opportunity to see Venus, Jupiter, Mars and Mercury still seemingly clumped together.
Thursday marks the 4,151st anniversary of the first record of a solar eclipse – in 2136 BCE across Central China.
