Well lots of people did when Waters traveled across America – from Baltimore to San Francisco — in the spring of 2012. They included an 81-year old farmer, a small-town mayor, an indie rock band and other ordinary folks who were sometimes weird, generous and kind. Waters has chronicled his adventures and insights in a new book, Carsick: John Waters Hitchhikes Across America. We’re delighted that he’s traveled north along I-95 from Baltimore so that we could welcome him back to Radio Times today.
