An audio recording of what is alleged to be the voice of LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling making racial slurs was made public of over the weekend. In this hour of Radio Times we’ll talk about the controversy surrounding Sterling and the reaction to his comments by the National Basketball Association and the players. We’ll also ask explore the complicated role of race in both professional and amateur sports and what it says about racism in America. Our guests are ESPN sportswriter HOWARD BRYANT and University of Pennsylvania professor KENNETH SHROPSHIRE.
