Is a calorie just a calorie? This controversial question continues in the crowded works of diet and health books, and DR. ROBERT LUSTIG, pediatric endocrinologist at the University of California, San Francisco, says it’s important to understand the biochemistry of metabolism when eating sugar. He’s returning to Radio Times with a follow-up cookbook to his 2012 manifesto, Fat Chance: Beating The Odds Against Sugar, Processed Food, Obesity, and Disease. We’ll also be joined by DR. FRANK HU, a Professor of Nutrition and Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health, who’ll discuss sugar consumption and its effects on health.
