Poet Philip Schultz on “The Wherewithal”

Listen

Guest: Philip Schultz

Pulitzer prize-winning poet PHILIP SCHULTZ has a new book out, The Wherewithal.  It’s a novel written in verse about a young man who is translating his mother’s diaries while avoiding the Vietnam War.  Her diaries are about Jedwabne massacre in German-occupied Poland in which 400 Jews were killed.  A few years ago, Schultz wrote a fascinating memoir about growing up with dyslexia and his continuing struggles with it.  Schultz returns to Radio Times to talk to Marty about his new novel and his poetry.
