December 5, 2013
Guests: Binyamin Appelbaum, Michael Hirsh
In a speech yesterday, President Obama said that the growing gap between rich and poor and the lack of economic mobility “pose a fundamental threat to the American Dream.” Speaking at the Center for American Progress in Washington, DC, Obama laid out policies to address economic inequality including raising the minimum wage and supporting education initiatives and government safety nets. We’ll get reaction to Obama’s speech and his economic priorities from BINYAMIN APPELBAUM, Washington correspondent for the New York Times who covers business and economic topics and MICHAEL HIRSH, chief correspondent for the National Journal.
