GUEST: MK ASANTE

[REBROADCAST] Born in Zimbabwe to American parents and raised in Philadelphia, MK ASANTE is an author of four books, and a filmmaker, hip-hop artist, and tenured professor at Morgan State University. MK was also Malo, the son of an influential African American scholar and dancer mother, a family that became broken, leaving Malo to tough it out in the “Killadelphia” of 90s North Philadelphia. He joined us this summer to discuss his new book, ‘Buck: A Memoir.”
