MATTHEW QUICK’s powerful new young adult novel is about a troubled teen planning a murder-suicide at his high school.  Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock begins with Peacock, the narrator, packing his grandfather’s handgun in preparation to kill his former best friend and then himself.  Quick is best known for “The Silver Linings Playbook” which was adapted into the hit film starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. This former high school English teacher has written a number of Young Adult books before his Hollywood success and we’ll talk to him about his latest this hour on Radio Times.
