Gov. Corbett’s Medicaid expansion plan

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett said this week that he wants to expand Medicaid to 520,000 more low income residents but only if he can overhaul the state’s current Medicaid system.  Corbett’s proposal would use the federal money available under Obamacare to allow Medicaid recipients to buy private insurance but he wants work requirements and premiums added to the eligibility rules.  This hour, we look at the Governor’s proposal, if the federal government is likely to grant his exceptions, and what it all means for low income Pennsylvanians.
