A child of hoarding: Kimberly Rae Miller

August 2, 2013

GUEST: KIMBERLY RAE MILLER

KIMBERLY RAE MILLER didn’t know the word ‘hoarding’ until she was a senior in high school, but she grew up around piles of newspapers, rats kept her up at night and she was often afraid a flea would jump off her at school. She kept up her grades and the appearances of a normal, middle class Long Island teenager, but finally had to come to terms with how and why her parents kept such a squalid home. The actress and free-lance writer’s memoir has just been published. It’s called “Coming Clean.”
