Mezzo-soprano Laurie Rubin asks “Do You Dream in Color?”

[REBROADCAST] Our guest, mezzo-soprano, LAURIE RUBIN, has performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, has sung under John Williams’ baton, and is a co-founder of a performing arts school. She’s recorded two CDs, and has written a book, which answers the question people have been asking her he whole life: Do You Dream in Color? Rubin has been blind since birth. Despite some music directors who haven’t hired her because of their concerns of Rubin elegantly negotiating the stage or learning music quickly, she has been booking recitals internationally and has time to write. Her memoir is “Do You Dream in Color? Insights from a Girl without Sight” and her recent CD is Do You Dream in Color?
