[REBROADCAST] Our guest, mezzo-soprano, LAURIE RUBIN, has performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, has sung under John Williamsâ€™ baton, and is a co-founder of a performing arts school. Sheâ€™s recorded two CDs, and has written a book, which answers the question people have been asking her he whole life: Do You Dream in Color? Rubin has been blind since birth. Despite some music directors who havenâ€™t hired her because of their concerns of Rubin elegantly negotiating the stage or learning music quickly, she has been booking recitals internationally and has time to write.
