According to the 2012 Bureau of Labor Statistics, one in nine people work in sales. And the other nine work in sales, too, according to our guest, DANIEL PINK. Employees pitch new ideas to their colleagues and bosses; businesses are always trying to optimize their profit margins and appeal to their funders; and entrepreneurs are emerging in all shapes and forms moving their business ideas along. In his new book, “To Sell is Human: The Surprising Truth About Moving Others,” Pink has many suggestions in refining one’s pitch including ‘The one word pitch,’ ‘the rhyming pitch’ and ‘the Twitter pitch.’ Marty talks to Pink about his new look at the art and science of selling…everything.
