Will the mail continue to be important as Americans are more engaged in the digital age? The financially strapped United States Postal Service (USPS) will be ceasing their Saturday delivery service, with exception for packages, the week of August 5th, 2013.  The agency reported a $15.9 billion loss last year and is looking at $20 billion projected annual deficits. We’ll look at why the USPS matters today, how it might be restructured, and its history with communications historian, RICHARD R. JOHN.
