Working at home
July 27, 2012
Ten percent of U.S. workers telecommute to work each day – they log-in at home and avoid traffic and a dress code. But a recent survey confirms what many people suspect, that when people work at home, they’re not always on the job: 43% of workers watch television, 26% nap, and 38% run errands while they work. Guest host Tracey Matisak talks about the ups and downs of working remotely with Wharton management professor STEWART FRIEDMAN and Stanford economics professor NICHOLAS BLOOM. We’ll also get the tips on how to create an effective home office from MARILYN ZELINSKY-SYARTO, a home office expert.
