Pennsylvania Politics Roundup
June 28, 2011
Hour 1
It looks like, for now, the $27.15 billion Pennsylvania budget agreement is going to be approved before the Thursday deadline. And Governor Corbett got most of what he wanted including no tax increases and no natural gas extraction fees. We’ll get an update on the budget agreement and other legislative battles in Harrisburg including the state funding for higher education, the voter ID bill, the “castle doctrine” bill, and the school voucher legislation. Our guests are JOHN MICEK, state government reporter for The Morning Call of Allentown, and author of the paper's Capitol Ideas blog, and LAURA OLSON, staff writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Harrisburg bureau.
