Writer Leslie Daniels Cleans Nabokov’s House

Friday, March 11th, 2011

Hour 2

LESLIE DANIELS has dealt with characters her whole life. Raised by psychologist parents in the White Flight years of West Philadelphia, she was an early admissions student at the age of 15 at the University of Pennsylvania. From there she pursued dancing, was an actress, picked up two Masters degrees, ran her own literary agency, and has two children. All this time Daniels has been writing, her essays ran in prestigious literary journals and she has put these years of character study into her first work of fiction. She’ll come in the Radio Times studio to discuss “Cleaning Nabokov’s House,” about a city woman putting her life together after a divorce in a small, upstate New York town who has purchased a home formerly inhabited by the author Vladimir Nabokov, a visiting professor at Cornell University.
