James Zogby on attitudes and opinions of the Arab world
Monday, February 7th, 2011
The tumultuous events unfolding in Middle East may have come as a surprise to many us and therefore illustrate the need for all of us to fully understand the diversity of opinions in the Arab world. In his new book, Arab Voices: What They Are Saying to Us and Why it Matters, JAMES ZOGBY, president of the Arab American Institute, draws on his four decades traveling through and interacting with the region's peoples and Zogby International polling through the Middle East to contest five widely held myths and stereotypes about the Arab world. Zogby also provides his perspective on what government and society can do with this information to bridge the gap of understanding between the West and the Middle East. Zogby joins Marty in the studio.
