Tuesday, March 16th, 2010
Hour 1
For years, education historian Diane Ravitch, was a leading proponent for school standards, school choice, and the free market's role in education. Overtime, however, she has become disillusioned with these education reform strategies and is now a leading critic of testing and charter schools. In this hour of Radio Times, Marty talks with her about her change of mind and what she thinks can be done to turn around the nation's schools. Her new book is The Death and Life of the Great American School System: How Testing and Choice are Undermining Education.
