In an article published last week in the Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, Penn professor John Jemmott reported that teaching abstinence education to inner city youths can delay the start of sexual activity. The study re-ignited the debate over abstinence education giving fuel to both proponents and opponents of such programs.
