The TSA will be installing 150 full body scanners in airports this year and there is another 300 on order. Since the failed Christmas bombing plot, the TSA is tightening security at airports. But are these high-tech scanners the answer? What about the privacy concerns over the revealing images they generate? And, just how onerous will air travel become? We’ll talk about airport security with aviation experts DOUGLAS LAIRD of Laird Associates and ROBERT RAFFELfrom Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Palliative Care physician DAVID CASARETT has spent a lot of time with people in their final days of life. In his new book "Last Acts: Discovering Possibility and Opportunity at the End of Life," he discusses the choices people make in the their final days and how those choices affect friends and family. This hour, we talk to DAVID CASARETT, an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, about the lessons he has learned from terminally ill patients as they face death.

Radio Times with Marty Moss-Coane can be heard over the airwaves from 10-11 a.m. and 11-noon Eastern time weekdays on 90.9 FM in the Delaware Valley, and rebroadcast from 10-11 p.m. and 11-midnight as well. Radio Times is also heard live on the Sirius - XM channel NPR Now 122, weekdays at 10 a.m. Eastern. NPR Talk Sirius 123 airs Radio Times again from 6-8 p.m. weekdays.
