Author and child psychiatrist NANCY RAPPAPORT’s mother committed suicide when the writer was just four years old. She has recently published a memoir about her quest to understand her mother's tragic death and how being a survivor of suicide loss shaped her as a daughter, wife, mother and professional. Rappaport's book is "In her Wake: A Child Psychiatrist Explores the Mystery of Her Mother’s Suicide."
