Richard Thompson

Named by Rolling Stone as one of 2003’s top-20 guitarists of all time, Richard Thompson is an iconic British folk rock legend and one of the world’s most acclaimed songwriters. From his teenage years as a founding member of the 1960s pioneering group Fairport Convention and more than 20 years as a solo artist to scoring Werner Herzog’s 2005 documentary Grizzly Man, Thompson’s body of work includes more than 40 albums of lyrical wit and singular acoustic and electric guitar delivery. Richard Thompson performs at The Grand Opera House.
