Second albums come with their own set of anticipations and anxieties, especially if your first album was Delta Spirit’s Ode to Sunshine. History from Below, the band’s second album released in June of this year, returns the band to their Americana-infused, raucously soulful sound and expands on that palette with percussive and pop elements. Delta Spirit takes over the sold out crowd of WXPN’s Free at Noon show at World Café Live.
