Water on the Moon
Monday, March 8th, 2010
New data shows that the moon has more water than we thought, but is it brimming with water? Not quite, but it turns out that there is a lot more water than expected. However, the amount of water is not like what we know of Mars… the sheer size of the moon rules that out. Could this lead to bases on the moon for long term residences? Another craft, New Horizons, last in a series of planetary explorers will arrive at Pluto in 2015. Also, what to expect in the night sky this week.
