The Delaware School for the Deaf takes a bilingual approach to education for kids who have assistive technology and cochlear implants, what is the value in teaching kids both languages?

In the story I had reported, Roberta Golinkoff at the University of Delaware was saying that children need to be immersed even more in spoken language when they have cochlear implant. So how would you respond to her that there's not enough immersion at the Delaware School for the Deaf?
