U.S. Marshals have arrested a man accused in the hit-and-run death of a respected community leader in Wilmington last month.
22-year-old Jesus Pinkston was arrested after being found hiding in a closet in an apartment in Largo, Maryland by members of the Marshals Capitol Area Regional Task Force who had been working with Wilmington Police and Marshals in Delaware.
Pinkston is accused of hitting 48-year-old Christopher White with his car near the 700 block of Shipley Street in downtown Wilmington. White was the executive director of the Community Legal Aid Society and the Shipley Village Community Development Corporation.
Pinkston is being held in Maryland pending extradition to Delaware.
