Delaware musicians band together for Haiti relief

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

Local bands to come together and rock out for relief for Haiti.

Over one hundred musicians will hit the stage in Delaware this Sunday, February 28th, to rock-out at an event to benefit relief efforts in Haiti. Organized by local business man and musician, Ed Dwornik of Aztec Printing and Design, the event will feature bands, who Dwornik says, “Are the very, very best of the seasoned musicians that have been working for a long time in Delaware.”

Almost immediately after the quakes hit Haiti,  Dwornik knew that he would be planning an event to help aid relief in Haiti, having planned almost fifty benefit events for various causes in the past. Rather than plan smaller, separate shows like some of his previous events Dwornik chose a different approach, a music festival style concert.

All proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Delaware Medical Relief Team and the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund (CBHF). The concert will be held from 1:00 to 9:30 pm at the Siegel Jewish Community Center on Garden of Eden Rd.  Tickets are $15 and will be available at the door.
