When would you buy a ticket to a game that already happened?

Phillies fans can now buy a ticket to a game they'll never attend, just to have a piece of baseball history. The Florida Marlins started selling unused tickets yesterday for last Saturday's game in which Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay threw a perfect game.
Ted Taylor is with STAT Authentic, an Abington-based collectible company. Unlike some other very valuable sports collectibles, he says people buying one of the "perfect game" tickets should expect it to pay to put their kids through college,
"If you put one of these tickets into a sports auction in the next year or two you'll be lucky to get face value. Because you gotta remember there were how many printed to begin with? 25,000-30,000 maybe? And 35,000 of anything is a lot! And how many people really really want them? A couple thousand maybe…attrition is what drives collectibles. And scarcity. And right now they're not very scarce."
Taylor says one way to make one of the "perfect game" tickets a more valuable collectible, is to get Roy Halladay to sign it.
