Philadelphia man sentenced to death for killing witness

A 28 year old Philadelphia man has been sentenced to death for killing a federally protected witness and an innocent bystander.
A jury sentenced Laquaille Bryant to death for the murder of federally protected witness Chante Wright and Octavia Green.
Prosecutor Brian Zarallo says the crime was particularly heinous because Bryant was a friend of Wright and was the person who got her to leave witness protection to return to Philadelphia.
"Her great grandmother was actually on her deathbed, and she was lured back to the lion's den through Laquille Bryant a friend who she had trusted and she had grown up and ultimately she had died at his hand," Zarallo said, "Octavia Green died simply because she was at the wrong place at the wrong time. She was seated next to them and she wound up getting a bullet through the head."
Bryant entered a guilty plea on April 12th, but Zarallo says he never identified who he was working for in the double murder.
