The staff of the Hometown Diner was ready for a surge of customers, but Manager Brenda Hollis says because of the weather, business at the Lehigh Valley eatery wasn't as good as it could have been.
Hollis: We were prepared because we usually get a big influx on hunting season morning. We start the grill earlier and we make sure the homefries are ready to go and our first round of coffee. We get all that made up so that by 5 o'clock when we open the doors we're ready to serve people.
Hollis says while many of the hunters are regular customers who would come to eat anyway, they often bring their fellow hunters – who aren't such frequent diners.
