African American police hope to ban website

Members of the group representing African American police officers are trying to get a website banned from police use during working hours because its content is creating a hostile work environment.

The Guardian Civic League contends the website domelights.com is full of racist postings, and officers should not be allowed to view or post to the website while at work. League president Rochelle Bilal has been the subject of posts since speaking out about the site.
Bilal: those officers that work in this department that go on there putting racially violent things against people of color shouldn't be working in this department period. I'm not worried about them and their cowardice, that's a bunch of cowards that do that.
The moderator of domelights has never posted his name on the site and the domain name is registered to an offshore account.
A Temple University law professor says he believes the site is free speech, protected under the constitution, but says that ruling will be made by a court.
