Caring touch means more than pat on the back

A friendly pat on the back or a hug are small gestures, but researchers say they can actually change how people think and behave. A lot of new research is investigating the importance and meaning of touch – Maiken Scott spoke with psychologist Dan Gottlieb about this growing body of work:
