Helping an addict

People recovering from addiction often talk about "hitting rock bottom" and how it helped them get onto a path of recovery. But watching that descent can be very difficult for family members and loved ones. Psychologist Dr. Dan Gottlieb recently helped a family member of an addict deal with some tough issues – he talked to WHYY's Behavioral Health reporter Maiken Scott.
