I know Jeffrey (from this discussion) & his family vey well. He is an exceptional human being & extremely smart. He can multiply 4 digit #s by 3 digit #s in his head & get an answer in seconds. Unfortunately, he has been teased all the time I've known him. We would "jag him around" just liked we "jagged" each other, but we always treated him just like a friend (ie: have him over the house, drive him places). I live further away now & don't see him that often anymore. I pray that he gets the care he needs when his Aunt Flo is no longer able to provide for him.

I just finished listening to the song on YouTube "How To Save A Life" because it relate to the emotional state of the song. I lost my dreams, similar to losing a friend. Several years ago I graduated from Moody Bible Institute with big dreams of being a missionary in another country and/or getting married and all that. Nothing has happened like I expected, and my diagnosis of being on the spectrum was more of a grim reality. I let go of my dreams with still some hope that God would sent a miracle.

  • I read that studies have shown that autistic people have lower levels of glutathione in their system, and that a natural supplement called Immunocal has been scientifically proven to raise glutathione levels and help with autism.
