My name is Linda Murphy and I am at my wits end! I have no help from family of course currently living in a homeless shelter due to a lie told by 18 yr.old daughter of course with autistic non-verbal teen (13) Georgia seems to have no help for me only in Atlanta and that costs money. My son fought me this morning and it really hurt. He is 5'8" and is 130lbs. I don't know why he is fighting me it is probably because of the situation we are in and the fact he cant communicate. I may have to put him on some type of drug. I don't want to but unsure of what else to do.

  • Thanks for sharing this article. It is one of the tough experiences to deal with an teens and it is more difficult for a parent to experience with autistic teens. I feel the successful treatment of an autistic teen is by choosing a specialized treatment center with years of experience in helping most of the troubled teenagers.
