Handling the frustrations of traffic

Memorial Day weekend marks the beginning of the summer travel season – and as thousands of drivers from our region get on the road to get to the shore or other vacation destinations, traffic can be a major frustration. Bans on cell phone use, highway patrols, and even special keys that limit a car's speed are all ways in which policy makers try to encourage responsible driving – but psychologist Dan Gottlieb says there's something about being in a car that makes people aggressive and angry.
